ABOUT ME

Nwabisa Ngumbela

Hi my name is Nwabisa Ngumbela,

I was born and raised in Ntabankulu, an obscure village in the rural Eastern Cape. Ntabankulu, loosely translated, means big mountains.

My source of entertainment as a kid was swimming in dams, following village boys on their hunting sprees and climbing rocky mountains to get some solitude. I guess this is where my love for the outdoors began. So, expect to read a lot about outdoorsy things.

I write about everything I love, travel, art, food, people and books. I hope this blog will eventually become the place people frequent when planning their next adventure or looking for a restaurant that’s easy on the pocket but where the food tastes as if it came straight from Anothy Bourdain’s kitchen.

Who doesn’t love a good story? Here I tell stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things; if you know someone who’s doing something that can get Mark Tyson weeping like a baby, please get in touch. Aren’t we all suckers for inspirational stories?

God bless!
