On Wednesday the 4th of May, Himself and myself decided to go on a road trip which began in the Garden Route and ended in the Wild Coast. We didn’t have a set itinerary; the only thing we agreed on was to search for mouth-watering food wherever we stopped and of course to live our best lives.

Our first food stop was in Houhoek. We popped in at a farm store that’s famous for its man-size-but-oh-so-delicious pies and because we were trying to get into the next town just in time for lunch, we decided to eat on the road.
Five hours later, we arrived at the breath taking Wilderness, unfortunately we had missed lunch and we couldn’t think about dinner until we sorted our accommodation. Fortunately, during this time of the year there aren’t many holiday makers, so finding a spot to rest was a walk in the park. We spent the night at The Wilderness Hotel, which is conveniently close to most eateries in town. After freshening up and of course having a glass of much needed vino, we began our search for good food. We found ourselves at a small Italian restaurant called Pomodoro. We ordered authentic thin base pizza, which by far is the best I’ve ever eaten. We washed it down with a couple of craft beers and we called it a night.
